eHarmony and all that crap....

Just a small rant.

Now being divorced after 20 years and not being one to go to bars, nightclubs, etc. I signed up for eHarmony and must say that I am very disappointed in the apathy of the women on the site.

Either they are on this site for free or they don't care how they spend their money but I'm on the site to MEET someone----not hold conversations and e-mail back and forth.  So many people "pretend" to want to date or meet or whatever and then find every excuse under the sun to find a way not to.

If you don't intend to date....GET OFF so you don't waste the time of the people that are genuinely looking for a mate.

That is all I'll say about that!

lyric of the post:

"feeling better now that we're through, feeling better 'cause I'm over you..."

An Update Needed? I think So!

Wow. It has been since September of 2011 since I last updated my "wordy" blog. I've managed to keep my photo blog up to speed, but the writing blogs are a little more difficult to keep pace with.

Well, MUCH has happened since the last post. The house FINALLY sold and I moved into my new one on November 7. Just in time for the holidays. I decorated for Christmas and enjoyed the peace of a new smaller house and the burden of the bills now gone----it WAS A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS.

My term as the Chapter Chair of the Murfreesboro chapter of the Tennessee Trails came to an end on December 31. In some ways I'm happy to be finished with it all and in other ways it is bittersweet. I skipped the January meeting and it felt good not to have to go. I doubt I miss many more.

My job has changed and I don't like the changes. I must live with them though--or my stay in this new house might be a short one.

I'm planning on taking lots of pictures this year and now I get my FOURTH week of vacation and might try to sneak a solo trip to Paris. I'm dying to go back there and this time take LOTS and LOTS of pictures. Before, we were limited to the film camera and now I have as much space as my little chippie will allow. Maybe a four day trip would be nice.

I'm going to try and keep up the blogging now that I'm caught up with life in general and you may or may not read it, but I don't really care---it's therapeutic so I'm doing it.

I'll be signing off each post with a line from a great song that I have in my collection. See if you can guess the title.  :)

"I pulled up on Main Street, she walked off in barefeet...."

Dissapointment, Heartache, Stress and Sadness (and maybe a touch of Frustration and Anger)

The only bad thing really about the house not selling at auction was the fact that both Millette & I put our heart and soul into getting the house ready only to be shot down by disastrous feeble economy. People are just afraid to jump to spend money...I can't blame them really, but Jesus Harold Christ how hard, long and much effort are we going to have to deal with this?

This is really my future that we are dealing with. The sale of this house will get me completely debt free except for the house I have a contract on, and hoping I can get before someone yanks it out from under me.

The auction people said we had over 2000 "unique" hits on the website, lots of calls and a multitude of interest from people in a couple of different states. All I can say is that was the quickest waste of $2,000 that I have ever experienced....unless you count the $4000 or so we threw away on Direct Buy which we never bought anything from.

We do have options---Glen (the auctioneer) said that they had gotten several written offers on the house before the auction and they were going to go back to those people and try to work deals.  So all hope is not lost...yet.
I'm sure this is To Be Continued....

Democrat vs Republican on RACE RELATIONS

Our nation’s top historians reveal that the Democratic Party gave us the Ku Klux Klan, Black Codes, Jim Crow Laws and other repressive legislation which resulted in the multitude of murders, lynchings, mutilations, and intimidations (of thousands of black and white Republicans). On the issue of slavery: historians say the Democrats gave their lives to expand it, the Republicans gave their lives to ban it.

The Democrats:
  • Democrats fought to expand slavery while Republicans fought to end it.
  • Democrats passed those discriminatory Black Codes and Jim Crow laws.
  • Democrats supported and passed the Missouri Compromise to protect slavery.
  • Democrats supported and passed the Kansas Nebraska Act to expand slavery.
  • Democrats supported and backed the Dred Scott Decision.
  • Democrats opposed educating blacks and murdered our teachers.
  • Democrats fought against anti-lynching laws.
  • Democrat Senator Robert Byrd of West Virginia, is well known for having been a “Kleagle” in the Ku Klux Klan.
  • Democrat Senator Robert Byrd of West Virginia, personally filibustered the Civil Rights Act of 1964 for 14 straight hours to keep it from passage.
  • Democrats passed the Repeal Act of 1894 that overturned civil right laws enacted by Republicans.
  • Democrats declared that they would rather vote for a “yellow dog” than vote for a Republican, because the Republican Party was known as the party for blacks.
  • Democrat President Woodrow Wilson, reintroduced segregation throughout the federal government immediately upon taking office in 1913.
  • Democrat President Franklin D. Roosevelt’s first appointment to the Supreme Court was a life member of the Ku Klux Klan, Sen. Hugo Black, Democrat of Alabama.
  • Democrat President Franklin D. Roosevelt’s choice for vice president in 1944 was Harry Truman, who had joined the Ku Klux Klan in Kansas City in 1922.
  • Democrat President Franklin D. Roosevelt resisted Republican efforts to pass a federal law against lynching.
  • Democrat President Franklin D. Roosevelt opposed integration of the armed forces.
  • Democrat Senators Sam Ervin, Albert Gore, Sr. and Robert Byrd were the chief opponents of the 1964 Civil Rights Act.
  • Democrats supported and backed Judge John Ferguson in the case of Plessy v Ferguson.
  • Democrats supported the School Board of Topeka Kansas in the case of Brown v The Board of Education of Topeka Kansas.
  • Democrat public safety commissioner Eugene “Bull” Connor, in Birmingham, Ala., unleashed vicious dogs and turned fire hoses on black civil rights demonstrators.
  • Democrats were who Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and the other protesters were fighting.
  • Democrat Georgia Governor Lester Maddox “brandished an ax hammer to prevent blacks from patronizing his restaurant.
  • Democrat Governor George Wallace stood in front of the Alabama schoolhouse in 1963, declaring there would be segregation forever.
  • Democrat Arkansas Governor Faubus tried to prevent desegregation of Little Rock public schools.
  • Democrat Senator John F. Kennedy voted against the 1957 Civil rights Act.
  • Democrat President John F. Kennedy opposed the 1963 March on Washington by Dr. King.
  • Democrat President John F. Kennedy, had Dr. King wiretapped and investigated by the FBI.
  • Democrat President Bill Clinton’s mentor was U.S. Senator J. William Fulbright, an Arkansas Democrat and a supporter of racial segregation.
  • Southern Democrats opposed desegregation and integration.
Democrats opposed:
  1. The Emancipation Proclamation
  2. The 13th Amendment
  3. The 14th Amendment
  4. The 15th Amendment
  5. The Reconstruction Act of 1867
  6. The Civil Rights of 1866
  7. The Enforcement Act of 1870
  8. The Forced Act of 1871
  9. The Ku Klux Klan Act of 1871
  10. The Civil Rights Act of 1875
  11. The Freeman Bureau
  12. The Civil Rights Act of 1957
  13. The Civil Rights Act of 1960
  14. The United State Civil Rights Commission
Republicans gave strong bi-partisan support and sponsorship for the following
legislation:

The Republicans:
  • Republicans enacted civil rights laws in the 1950’s and 1960’s, over the objection of Democrats.
  • Republicans founded the HBCU’s (Historical Black College’s and Universities) and started the NAACP to counter the racist practices of the Democrats.
  • Republicans pushed through much of the ground-breaking civil rights legislation in Congress.
  • Republicans fought slavery and amended the Constitution to grant blacks freedom, citizenship and the right to vote.
  • Republicans pushed through much of the groundbreaking civil rights legislation from the 1860s through the 1960s.
  • Republican President Dwight Eisenhower sent troops into the South to desegregate the schools.
  • Republican President Eisenhower appointed Chief Justice Earl Warren to the Supreme Court, which resulted in the 1954 Brown vs. Board of Education decision.
  • Republican Senator Everett Dirksen from Illinois, not Democrat President Lyndon Johnson, was the one who pushed through the civil rights laws of the 1960’s.
  • Republican Senator Everett Dirksen from Illinois wrote the language for the 1965 Voting Rights Act.
  • Republican Senator Everett Dirksen from Illinois also crafted the language for the Civil Rights Act of 1968 which prohibited discrimination in housing.
  • Republican and black American, A. Phillip Randolph, organized the 1963 March by Dr. King on Washington.
The 1964 Civil Rights Act Roll Call Vote: In the House, only 64 percent of the Democrats (153 yes, 91 no), but 80 percent of the Republicans (136 yes, 35 no), voted for it. In the Senate, while only 68 percent of the Democrats endorsed the bill (46 yes, 21 no), 82 percent of the Republicans voted to enact it (27 yes, 6 no).

Thaddeus Stevens, a Radical Republican that introduced legislation to give African Americans the so-called 40 acres and a mule and Democrats overwhelmingly voted against the bill.

During the Senate debates on the Ku Klux Klan Act of 1871, it was revealed that members of the
Democratic Party formed many terrorist organizations like the Ku Klux Klan to murder and intimidate African Americans voters. The Ku Klux Klan Act was a bill introduced by a Republican Congress to stop Klan Activities.

History reveals that Democrats lynched, burned, mutilated and murdered thousands of blacks and completely destroyed entire towns and communities occupied by middle class Blacks, including Rosewood, Florida, the Greenwood District in Tulsa Oklahoma, and Wilmington, North Carolina to name a few.

History reveals that it was Abolitionists and Radical Republicans such as Henry L. Morehouse and General Oliver Howard that started many of the traditional Black colleges, while Democrats fought to keep them closed. Many of our traditional Black colleges are named after white Republicans.

After exclusively giving the Democrats their votes for the past 25 years, the average African American cannot point to one piece of civil rights legislation sponsored solely by the Democratic Party that was specifically designed to eradicate the unique problems that African Americans face today.

Houses of the Holy....maybe

Preparing for an open house at your own house is not an easy thing to do. They say cleanliness is next to Godliness: If that is the case I'm skirting on Evil.

I normally keep the house somewhat clean, but when you start cleaning window sills, baseboards, sink drains, and ceiling fan blades, you begin to realize that it might NOT be as clean as you thought.

This is the hardest I have probably ever willingly worked and I'm hoping that the end result will be well worth the effort and help get this house sold.

Maxine Waters Needs a Mirror (repost from "American Thinker")

Maxine Waters Needs a Mirror

By Kevin Jackson

Queen of the poverty pimps Maxine Waters must so wish that Obama were a whole white man.  Democrat or not, if Obama were white, Waters would be heaping all the blame on those frail little shoulders of his.  But because Obama has been presented as "authentically black," Waters was recently forced to stop short of condemning him.  Instead, she unleashed on the closest white item she could find: the Tea Party.

Anything to keep her ignorant followers from actually thinking about where to place the blame.

Maxine Waters has held dominion over the black people of Watts, CA for over twenty years, and Watts is worse now than it was when she began representing them.  This is despite Waters' and others in the Congressional Black Caucus' $17T War on Poverty dating back to the Great Society -- the time when black pimps voted for the racist Democratic president LBJ, who said to "give them [uppity Negroes] just enough to get by, but not enough to make a difference."

Telling the Tea Party to "go to hell" was the easy applause line for Waters.  It gave her relief, approval.  She returned to her mansion, and her constituents remain high from their hit of the political crack of  hatred.

In a recent meeting in Miami, Waters grilled an Obama sycophant, Don Graves, Executive
Director of the President's Council on Jobs and Competitiveness, who had been dispatched by Obama to quiet the natives.

Graves said to a group of black church-goers that "certain communities have been hit harder than other communities."

"Let me hear you say 'black,'" said Waters, as the crowd erupted in cheers.

Waters treated Graves like he was the president.  I give Graves credit for having the guts that Obama doesn't have.

At one point, Graves commented, "You all don't need to go through me to get to the president."

Graves later added, "You may not feel like the president is listening to you, but he hears you loud and clear."

Waters, who last week in Detroit blasted the half-White House for not having a jobs strategy in the black community, did not seem satisfied and commented:

I'm 72 years old...I've been elected by the people, served in the legislature, now in the Congress, and if I'm reduced to having you take my message to the president, I should go home.

Waters ain't going nowhere.  Why would she live under the laws of everybody else, instead of those special laws that Congress gets.  Negro, please!  Waters knows the perks.

Waters is the woman who "arranged a meeting" between the bank and a federal regulator where, ultimately, millions of dollars in funds went to the bank where Waters' husband remains a stockholder and is a former director.  Coincidence, she claims.

While most blacks in Waters' district can't qualify for a loan from an EZ Loan center, Waters is stealing money from taxpayers and giving it to her husband.  The sad part is that at $12M, Waters got a fraction of what white Democrats stole in the financial windfall known as TARP.

Waters has been listed as one of the most corrupt members of Congress three years (2005, 2006, and 2009) by Citizens for Responsible Ethics in Government, and rightfully so.  And Maxine knows she's in trouble.  She must make the natives restless in order to keep the focus off her, and it stinks that there is no viable white Republican around.  Thank God for the Tea Party!

It's that wretched Tea Party that is wrecking Obama's plan to provide all black people 40 acres and a Lexus for doing absolutely nothing.  It is the job of the crooks that make up the Congressional Black Caucus to continually promise something and deliver nothing.

Where has the $17T from the War on Poverty gone?  Why don't all black people have a Navigator and a record label by now?  Because a few black overseers get to live large.

Maxine Waters loves the high life.  She has assured it for her children, who have benefited from unscrupulous practices by Waters.  Jesse Jackson, Sr. did it for his son.  Carol Kilpatrick tried to do it for Kwame, but he was the stupid one and blew it.

The black crooked elite couldn't care less about the blacks they serve up, but they will take care of their own.

Waters should fear the Tea Party.  It is the one group that has the possibility of emptying the piggy bank for low-class thieves like her.  The Tea Party is not preventing businesses from coming to black neighborhoods.  The Tea Party is not withholding TARP funds from businesses.  The Tea Party is not responsible for uneducated black kids.  The Tea Party is not responsible for the high rate of teenage pregnancy among blacks.  The Tea Party is not foreclosing on black homeowners.  The Tea Party is not putting black people in prison.  The Tea Party is not responsible for unemployment in the black community.  The Tea Party is not shipping drugs into black neighborhoods.  The Tea Party is not allowing illegal immigrants to steal jobs and critical services from blacks.

The Tea Party is three years old, Maxine -- you've been serving for over twenty.  Many of the CBC have been serving even longer.  I say you and other members of the Congressional Black Caucus need to look in that mirror for the people to blame.  You will know that mirror when you see it, because it says: Objects in mirror are dumber than they appear.

That's my rant!

The Devil is in the Details

YES! The Devil is in the details. I have been contemplating a blog that I could rant and rave on and air my political propaganda. My photography blog is just that, and I don't want to mix in "personal political" feelings or other idle ramblings in the middle of my photography.

As my photography became more of a hobby, and more advanced; I felt it prudent to separate the two.  So this blog is the result. It is actually a RESURRECTION of sorts because it is my original blog with a facelift and tagline. You are likely to read anything here. SO PREPARE YOURSELF.

Just in case you are not sure which side of the political fence I straddle, just take a look at the photo and if you can't figure it out.......Maybe you shouldn't be reading this.
